When a tech firm uses its own code before selling it onto others it gets a lot more respect from the engineering community because you know you are not sold a pup! Any platform engineer in any org will understand this.
Does the amount that Amazon uses AWS versus Google using GCP matter in your opinion? From the outside, it seems like Google Cloud is for “others”, while Amazon heavily eats their own dogfood, e.g.:
