Happy new year! 2024 had highs and brutal lows for me and my family. It started having passed my viva and feeling ready for the future, but ended in tragedy and grief after losing my wonderful dad at the beginning of the November. My hope is 2025 will bring us all better days.
Northern Lights | Bedford | October 2024 Absolutely incredible, that’s one from the bucket list. #northernlights
My boy @skillfulperson coming through with the Midas touch. Absolutely lost for words, can’t believe this is happening.
Now that the contracts are all signed, I'm delighted to announce that I will be authoring a book on "Pathways in Cyberpsychology" which has been commissioned by @routledgebooks and will be part of the @BPSOfficial 's Pathways in Psychology series 🤓
The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.
Want to join our team? We're recruiting for new VLs in Psychology at Regent's University London. Further information and application details can be found here: galileo.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/regents_…
I’ve wanted to head to Norway and see the fjords for years. Finally managed to make it, and it was worth the wait. Stunning.
That's #Cyber24 over for me! Great to catch up with the brilliant people in this community and see some truly excellent talks (particular favourites were by @AGreen_Psych @cybergamepsych @_brthomas), and so proud of my supervisee for presenting her project on emoji & dyslexia 🥹
Caught an absurdly early train, but finally on my way to #Cyber24! Looking forward to hearing about cool new research and seeing the wonderful people in the cyber community 😁
My MSc student is seeking participants on their research investigating AI use and types of thinking*. If you have 15 minutes free, your participation would be greatly appreciated regents.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cL… *Ethics approved by Regent's University London, must be over 18 years old
Did you know you can easily change your preferences on the BPS system so that the Section can contact you directly? If you don't do this, the committee can't reach out to you with Section/conference news directly. It's really easy to change and will hugely help the committee!
Amazing time in the New Forest this weekend, beautiful scenery and so interesting to see wild horses and cattle in such abundance. So nice to step away from the day-to-day for a bit and make some memories.
We're seeking participants for our research on age-related differences in online message interpretations. If you have 15 minutes free, your time would be greatly appreciated! #academictwitter #phdchat regents.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6w… (Ethics approved by Regent's University London)
This combines two of my favourite things: golf and emoji. Highlights really nicely some of the challenges of using only emoji in communication @drchrisrobus @DrAlexOliver @SaraRodCuadrado @LindaKKaye @DrAndyMack @DrJStacey

I'm redacted 🥳 thrilled to have passed my viva today with minor corrections! Huge thanks to my DoS Dr Melanie Pitchford and my advisors (@drcjhand especially), and to my external examiners @LindaKKaye and Dr Dominic Thompson for such an enjoyable and thought-provoking viva!
PhD external examining will always be one of my favourite parts of my job. Congratulations to [redacted*] for doing such an amazing job on their thesis and today's viva 🤩 *It's their news to share first, not mine 😊
