Building premium digital experiences @duru_devs • Building Thryve, a calm, emotionally intelligent journaling app 🌿 • Live on Product Hunt!
After a month and a half of work, Thryve is officially live on Product Hunt! I’d love your support and I’d really appreciate hearing what you think. This is a big milestone for me, and I’m incredibly grateful to those of you who’ve been part of the journey so far. 🙏
After two weeks of planning, I managed to create a plan to acquire users in my unique niche; and the trial run wasn’t too bad 👀 gotta keep iterating and we’ll get to that 100 user mark in no time
If you haven’t already, USE GOOGLE ANALYTICS! You can’t optimize what you can’t measure, and I know exactly where my users are coming from, where they’re falling off, and how to keep them.
Once you get past the rush of actually building a product, all that’s left is the long road ahead to market it. This phase makes or breaks you. Which is it gonna be? 🤔
One of the toughest parts of building: Watching people struggle with a problem… …then ignore the thing you built to solve it 😂
If you’re on the fence about launching, do it. Nothing will bring you more insights than people roasting your product. I learned which pain points to address, which is invaluable in giving users more confidence in their purchase.
I launched on Product Hunt last week. No viral moment, no front-page, etc. But I still walked away with something valuable. Thryve landed at #69 out of 300+ products that day. From that came: • 10+ new users • 1 paying customer • A wave of helpful feedback Biggest win? I…
Just made my first sale on Thryve! 🎉 And I forgot to update the Lemon Squeezy test price So they paid 50 cents lol. Fixed now but hey, the system works, and I know people want it. It’s only up from here!
Okay all in all, pretty darn good launch yesterday. Even with Google’s terrible timing, we got new users, feedback, and ready to keep pushing.
Google auth broke right in the middle of launch day. What a time for the internet to betray me 😭 Thryve will be back once the chaos settles.
Getting your first real users feels amazing! Like your idea is actually real now. Launch day has been really motivating
Product Hunt launch is today, and its going well so far, we've already got a few new users. Slow start, steady clicks. Today’s the day!💪
Got 1.4K views on my first Reddit post about my journaling app. Only 2 users signed up. Am I cooked? Or is this just how it goes?
It’s launch week 😱 Time to: - Spread the word - Fight imposter syndrome - Fix last-minute bugs - Hope someone actually cares Let’s make it count.
Builders what are your go-to launch sites and places to market your products Launching in a few days, and need some good ideas 👀
Too many indie hackers overbuild their MVP. What if you just tried this instead? 1. Talk to 3 real people with the problem 2. Get 1 of them to pay you (even $1) 3. Build only what solves that need Momentum starts with the first dollar, not the first feature. 📖 Million Dollar…
Just adding payment with Lemon Squeezy was the easy part 😭 making upgrade modals for free users and hiding them for premium users was tricky af. But the MVP is ready to roll really soon, more in a few days!
I built the whole app before I touched the landing page. But writing the landing page? That was the hardest part. Because building is one thing… Explaining why it matters is another. It forced me to get clear. Not just about what I made.. But who it’s for and why they should…
