As the frigid cold settles in tonight, warming your vehicle is going to be a must the next few days. But don’t leave your running car unattended. Puffer cars are an easy target of thieves. Stay with your vehicle while it warms and keep it from being stolen.
RED FLAG WARNING issued for today from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. as critical fire weather conditions exist. Wind 15-25 mph/gusts up to 35 mph forecast. The strong winds, low humidity, and warm temperatures make for extreme fire behavior. Absolutely no burning allowed. Be Fire Safe.
With dangerous cold forecast tonight/tomorrow frostbite is reality. Wind chill makes air temp colder, making people susceptible to frostbite. Frostbite can occur in less than 10 min. with exposure to extreme cold. Stay inside. If you must go out, wear layers & limit time outside

Don’t let your vehicle become a target for thieves. Thieves are taking advantage of holiday shopping to break into vehicles & steal packages. Don’t leave packages in plain sight in vehicle. Put valuables in locked trunk. Lock doors & don’t leave keys/fobs inside your vehicle.
High wind warning effective til 5 p.m. Blowing dust may cause problems. Take caution if you must travel, particularly high-profile/lightweight vehicles. Strong winds can blow down trees and power lines. AND DON’T FORGET RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT! NO BURNING ALLOWED!
