I would note that this would be a good time for @oliviachow to take the point made by @BrandonMattalo and debar any contractor retained by the province permanently from any city contract, and terminate any existing contracts.

Doug Ford has decided to create dangerous streets across Toronto. He knows people will be injured—and even die—so he's also taking away the ability for people injured to hold him to account in court. This is also dangerous—to our fundamental rights to hold power accountable.

We promised to get drivers out of gridlock by bringing sanity back to bike lane decisions and we’re getting it done.

Bike lanes save lives. If you have a problem with their design or location- take that complaint to our mayor and councillors. The Ford government decision to remove Toronto’s bike lanes is an overreach.

Instead of protecting vulnerable road users in Ontario, the government chooses to rip up bike lanes and attack safe infrastructure with no evidence. This isn’t over. There will be a community response. #onpoli

Dear Ontario Premier Doug Ford (@fordnation), My 10-year-old son was identified with a need last year and had to change public schools. I now bike him 2.2km to school in the mornings and he bikes home alone. We use the 8-year-old Bloor Street bike lanes which make the roads…

Nearly 15% of kids in Ontario don’t have a family doctor. Hundreds of thousands of them go without checkups, diagnoses, and treatments. Everyday, the most powerful people in government sit around the most powerful table in Ontario and do nothing about it. #onpoli #onhealth

It’s hard to be a “happy” child when you don’t have a family doctor. Today, I released the top ten @OntarioPCParty ridings with the most children without a family doctor. Three Parliamentary Assistants, five Ministers, and one Premier represent these ridings. #onpoli #onhealth

“The impunity that has been granted to the state of Israel for 76 years.” Israel’s war on the @UN is maniacal. They’ve destroyed more than 70% of UN structures in Gaza and killed more than 200 UN workers. It’s long past due for member states. Invoke Article 6. #UNseatIsrael

So, @fordnation is more interested in the United States and China than Ontario’s healthcare. 32K people in his riding don’t have a family doctor, and he’s talking about international relations. That’s how 4.4M people end up without a family doctor by 2026. #onpoli #onhealth

Ford's 19-week summer vacaton is over and we still have NO opening date for the Eglinton LRT. Metrolinx is in complete disarray. Why should the public be expected to trust them? We need a public inquiry and a CLEAR opening timeline now.

$35M over 10 years. Averaging $3.5M per year. That would amount to 0.3% of your $1.2 billion budget, which increased by another $20M last year. Do you think the City has no function other than to fund policing? Do you understand the work LASOs do in our communities?

It's confusing to see @MayorOliviaChow prioritize spending $35 million on new art installations when @cityoftoronto is grappling with pressing public safety issues. With crime rates rising, a stretched police force, and urgent needs like mental health crisis intervention,…

Fellow Ontario tax payers - please like and retweet if you would rather $3.2 Billion be invested in public services, like education, healthcare, ODSP, support for autism families, than be dolled out in one-time $200 pre-election bribes by Doug Ford. #onpoli #onted #cdpoli

Excellent article by @UWaterloo colleague @Troy_D_Glover articulating the benefits of bike lanes, backed up by rigorous research (see links in article). (Of course this doesn't matter to Ford & @PrabSarkaria who are basing their reckless policy on vibes) thestar.com/opinion/contri…
