I would note that this would be a good time for @oliviachow to take the point made by @BrandonMattalo and debar any contractor retained by the province permanently from any city contract, and terminate any existing contracts.
Doug Ford has decided to create dangerous streets across Toronto. He knows people will be injured—and even die—so he's also taking away the ability for people injured to hold him to account in court. This is also dangerous—to our fundamental rights to hold power accountable.
