I had never used / written the term 'guardrails' until I started working with Codex. Now it's present in almost every project I'm working on in some shape or form.
Swear most who ridicule this notion haven't been absolutely addicted to the productivity gains the right setup can give you. I hope someone figures out the marketing and onramp angles for this tech to go mainstream. FAANG and friends are all leveraging it quietly.

Have come back to a codex session where I have enqueued plenty of 'thanks pls continue' kinda prompts against a known plan (a la @steipete ), and it's just jammed. Terminal UI won't accept input, no idea if it's working on anything, not sure if anything has saved. Welp.

It's my fault I know, but twice I've been caught out by Codex insisting it has taken a backup / has been logging 'extensively' for it to fuck up a migration then tell me everything is lost and oops, no nothing was backed up or logged correctly...
Have you seen anyone from OpenAI state this? I think someone is conflating some updates to our term of use.
