Quick-Slow-Quick. Ball never stops moving. First guys job is accuracy, 2nd guys job is speed. Get the flip right and the double play will come. #ExpandRoutine
Shuffling laterally more than once during an infield drill is a waste of a movement. When do you see an infielder take 3 shuffles to get around a ground ball? A day before they become an outfielder!

We’ve gone too far with the “Toe up” teach. What not to teach is as important as what to emphasize. Toe up is a checkpoint to see timing - not a set position to continually put your young athletes in for every ground ball rep. You’re teaching them heels instead of balls of feet.

It is important for the 1B to establish a throwing lane on a double play ball. We use the terminology “Grass to Grass, Dirt to Dirt.” The SS should align himself on the side of the bag that matches the 1B position. @TheProsPipeline #ExpandRoutine
This happens very often at second on stolen bases. Defenders, let the ball come to you, it travels faster than you do…..a lot of times, it can be the difference between safe and out
I think it’s officially official that collegiate baseball is way more exciting than MLB….prove me wrong
Oldie but good one from Tyler Halas and Nick Lewis.
Nico Hoerner & Nick Madrigal together is going to be so much fun. 🔥 (📸: @egbaseballdad)
Infield Coordinator @BillyBallTime7 for the @tigers discusses and demonstrates a series of forehand and backhand groundball drills that allow infielders to identify their play type and develop their skills. Find more infielder content here: bit.ly/3wNUftA
Clubs in the bag. Many different variations from athletic shortstop Roman Martin. Being flexible and able to quickly adjust to the ever changing environment is a huge + for high level infielders. Don’t be caught in the bunker with only a driver in your hand. #ExpandRoutine
After regular rolling Gb’s I always thought it was important to train athleticism and freedom. It’s something you and I probably did off a brick house or wall as a kid but this generation doesn’t. 1. “Jeter” 2. “Organize underneath “ 3. “Be an athlete”
