I’m not sure who needs to hear this today, but… oh wait! It’s me! I need to see this today 😁
Secondary friends, Check out this post:
Study skills are key to academic success. Since they’re not usually explicitly taught, a nudge in the right direction from a teacher can make a world of difference. 🌟 Check out active studying practices to share with your middle and high school students: edut.to/3wLNWvO

I’m grateful Lauren took the chance to go to Africa with Mercer on Mission.
We are so excited that @fcboe #TeamECS is having the Family Engagement & Learning Series! Please plan on attending! Let us know if you have any questions!
There’s a whole bunch of stuff that our students are gonna be thinking about tomorrow, other than our lesson. This doesn’t mean that we don’t teach our hearts out... but it means that we ought to be patient; we ought to be empathetic; and we ought to keep things in perspective.
GREAT advice! ❤️

According to the respected Dr. Louisa Moats, what is "the best instruction there is"? LANGUAGE! Live for grades 5 - 12. Listen to the expert: okt.to/Z2A0JH #readingintervention #middleschool
It’s good when central office peeps remember what it’s like to work in the school building. It’s good when school administrators remember what’s it’s like to teach in the classroom. And it’s good when teachers remember what it’s like to be a kid.
I know we’re in a “kid business” … but it’s hard to be an effective administrator if you don’t love teachers too. They do the core work of the school, and it’s crucial that they feel valued and supported.
Effective instruction involves more than content mastery, pedagogical prowess, and strategic resource utilization. Those three are critical for sure… but never underestimate the importance of human connection in the classroom.

A little skeptical about going back to school, but I think they rocked it! Class of 2024 & 2022. Yes… that’s a senior right there. Time flies when you’re having fun 🤩
Thanks @RisingStarrMS for the warm reception and active engagement at Thursday’s PL! It’s been a long time since I have been able to work (and share my passion) with a large group f2f. Y’all reminded me why I’ve missed it. 🖤💙🐾
I remember a young teacher asking me for advice as she began her career. My advice was not profound… but here it is: Learn from your colleagues; don’t be afraid to fail; and never stop caring about the kids.
