My whole life I've been waiting for politicians to be principled and consistent. They all switch sides the minute they get into power. But finally, we have a a populist revolt out of Kentucky! @RandPaul and @RepThomasMassie are actually sticking with principles instead of party!

This is exactly what I have proposed. Nationwide Voter ID plus a national ban on gerrymandering. We are working on legislation now that I believe can pass.
My plan would restore power to the people and restore confidence in our democracy. 74% want Election Day to be a holiday. 75% believe gerrymandering is a major problem. 83% support requiring an ID to vote. Get to work, Congress. Give the people what they want and need.
Schwarzenegger calls Prop. 50 a "big scam” that “doesn’t make any sense.” This is notable because he is not a supporter of the President and is disinclined to criticize Newsom. Yet he knows that democracy in California is at stake. Vote NO!
So it's wrong for Texas to gerrymander before California and wrong for North Carolina to gerrymander after, but it's right for CA to gerrymander in between? My position is simple: gerrymandering is always wrong, and CA voters should reject it the one place we can: our own state.

I’d never trust anyone on the right or the left who is inconsistent on free speech. A person willing to abandon this fundamental American principle for short-term politics—justifying their own hypocrisy by citing the other side’s hypocrisy—can’t be counted on to uphold anything.

A man was just shot for his beliefs and Democrats are really out here with “first they came for Jimmy” signs. Are you people fucking nuts? Where have you all been for the last decade while people were debanked, deplatformed, and canceled??? You were cheering for it. That’s where.
The First Amendment protects our right to say hateful and wrong things and prohibits the government from infringing upon our ability to do so. The exceptions to this are extremely rare. This really shouldn’t be so hard to understand.
