honestly, people aren’t as mean as you think they are (most of the time at least)!! when i bring my ita bags or plushies with me, i always get at least one compliment on them!! i also recommend going to a place where you’re likely to find likeminded ppl (like an anime store)!

To the point I even received compliments and meeting new ppl who shared the same interest! Today, I even bring out my towel with the photo of my oshi to the grocery for giggles and its actually really fun 🙂↕️🙂↕️
I have my own world all of the time, I just ignore them which is hard at first, but when you're at the level that 'I guess its okay to be open' and then go 🙂↕️‼️ I used to be extremely shy and terrified until one day I decided to go out with my itabag and it feels so free-
i used to get nervous too & it's true that sometimes ppl may be curious or even apprehensive, but if u can simply put it as a comfort or enjoyment for you then most ppl will leave it at that or support you! good luck anon and everyone💕💕
example: one time i wasn't even the first to bring out a plush of my f/o, someone did it at a mosh pit of a concert i attended in front of me & we had so much fun taking vids of our plushies while a band we like performed!
it's easier said than done, but you have to embrace ur love wholeheartedly! be unapologetic & ppl are more likely to match your energy, you'll be surprised how many ppl compliment u or express interest OR you'll even meet likeminded ppl! :)
