Getting closer :)

You can only do so much in Figma... Prod version will so much better. It always is.

Grid day #10: I switched to polygon based intersection for grid cell occupancy to support the last set of pavers. Just have to do multi paver grids next. Then I can finally start working on design!

The quality of the final UX largely depends on the amount of iteration you had during design and development. That's why I start my AR/VR projects by developing custom-tailored debug tools to help speed up the iterations. Obviously, it's crucial to test your app on real devices…

Stylized trim sheets in #Blender. You decide the layout — OneClickDamage handles all the details. Easy. Procedural. Creative. #b3d #procedural #textures #blendercommunity

This week’s progress: Rectangular grid system is 90% complete! - Grid shapes are derived at runtime from the bottom edges of the mesh - Rotated placements (😭) - Dynamic snapping (hold shift for precise placement) - Texture UV map is randomly rotated for natural variation

Just made the preliminary pattern builder tool. Will make it way more powerful when I wake up 😴

Tuned my feed back to people doing work rather than people reacting to other people doing work. 10x better experience, instantly.

The best designers sketch. Sadly rarer in the UI design space. That could explain the blandification of interfaces that’s quietly taken over 🤷‍♂️

I could sketch Hero concepts for days. @SuperhumanHQ

Since the products are all made from the same concrete I decided to use one texture that'll be multiplied with a solid color at runtime in the application. Also peep the baked roughness maps🤌

As good of a concrete material as I'm going to get for now. Tried for hours to get AO maps for the concave edges, but somehow couldn't? Whatever. I'm just going to set up the other colors and bake everything next

Starting with masonry & drainage. Just finished modeling the product catalog of a local paving stone manufacturer. I'll use them for some cool stuff later, but for now, the procedural concrete textures are next.

The best thing I can do is use my skills to help with hurricane recovery.

Underwhelming posts on the way, but they'll acrue into something awesome, trust

I can’t help but think “sales” & “marketing” have become too abstracted from the actual mechanics behind them…

its all marketing. dating is marketing. hiring is marketing. fundraising is marketing. getting hired is marketing. keeping your engineers is marketing. and marketing is marketing.
