This is what I mean by generational. Doug is brave to say it. The boomers offshored with both hands and feet and thought it was totally fine with no consideration of the consequences. Now the youth are rebelling over it, and they will get their way in the end.
I’m 65 and have done my share of offshoring 20+ years ago. The long term damage to American culture was never factored in. A full immigration pause is needed along with revocation and elimination of the H1B programs, much of which is fraud.
End OPT- no congressional effort needed. End all work visas- H1B and spousal EAD; end L visas and the F visas- don’t allow PERM to convert to green cards

Not halted..Ended. We do not need it. The workforce in the US invented just about every major innovation in technology or the internet over the past 50 years. Reform isn’t possible as the corporate execs of US companies have proved they can’t be trusted.
The whole program must be eliminated, permanently. The idea that Americans need 3rd world people to show us how to get things done is absurd. US immigration must stop. 100%. End it. Now.

The only fix is eliminating existing employment related GC applications including H4EAD, banning future GC applications, bringing back OPT to 1 year, changing Form I-130 age to 40, increase tax for non US Citizens. All work visas stealing US jobs will automagically disappear.
