Perpetually curious man reinventing himself in cybersecurity. Right now I think it'll be threat intelligence, but who knows? CS student at @NPS_Monterey.

Just landed in DCA 7 hours late, nothing to eat since noon except pretzels, and zero help fixing anything. Thanks @AmericanAir!
Apparently this part of 2020 is being directed by Michael Bay. Well done, Cal Guard!
Right now, the @CalGuard is airlifting patients trapped by wildfire to a location where they will be met by @AirNatlGuard medics and local first responders. As this situation develops, the National Guard will continue to support our partner agencies and communities. #CreekFire
Retweeting again since I signed into my old account by mistake. This explains EVERYTHING
Both of you (might) enjoy this, I ran across this ages ago on r/hfy and (for me) it explains star trek (humans at least) 100% on the nose imgur.com/gallery/j67Bm

“If you haven’t read hundreds of books, you are functionally illiterate, and you will be incompetent, because your personal experiences alone aren’t broad enough to sustain you.” - James Mattis What are you reading this weekend? #TheBridgeReads #WeekendBridge
Rereading some Star Wars EU stuff, I am once again reminded that “Daala” is apparently the Galactic Standard word for “failing upward.” @blueofthebay
Maybe it’s just how I was raised, but it honestly baffles me how anyone could consider this professional behavior.

Related: Anyone else creeped out by the lyrics to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town?" "He sees you when you're sleeping, "He knows when you're awake, "He knows if you've been bad or good, "So be good for goodness sake!" If true, that's terrifyingly pervasive surveillance.
Kid: “Daddy has an elf on the shelf. Every morning when I wake up, it moves!” Kid: “Why don’t you have an elf on the shelf?” Me: “Well, honey, this house isn’t a police state.”
Forgot Venus was in retrograde, instead of 1000 1' high squirrels got 1 1000' high squirrel. #OrderofHermesProblems
Split an infinitive in the third couplet, accidentally made ping-pong balls fall instead of rain. #OrderofHermesProblems
Declined a Latin noun in the wrong case, and now my car is a giraffe. #OrderofHermesProblems
Leaving crumbs here to a great thread. I think the key idea is buried in the middle: even if you think the "Clash of Civilizations" theory is xenophobic bunk, students are going to run into it sooner or later. Better to teach the idea and the challenges to it while in school.
The students found this all SUPER interesting. I had a lot of questions after class (as did my TAs). Students weren't buying the theory, but they agreed that it is "seductively simple". That is likely why it sticks around...and why it should be engaged in IR classrooms. [END]
Porter's Law: "Every problem can be solved when you solve it with fire!" Clark's Corollary: "If fire didn't solve your problem, you didn't use enough." @rhymester
“Every problem can be solved when you solve it with fire” — Liana Porter, probably
Clark: Am I going to have to come in from a *different universe* to clean this up? Yeah. I totally am, I can tell.
This oughta cheer you up; @Vinsulala wants to borrow Liana for a mini-campaign and she has promised I get to go FULL MEGALOMANIA
I usually end up rolling #8 too. That's why it's so much fun when we're in the same party! (Where by "fun" we mean "visible through your eyelids")
"Uh oh, I think I'm a duplicate IPv6 address!" "Hi duplicate IPv6 address. I'm DAD." #TechgeekDadJokes #IPv6
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." Rolling over for dictators is now "empowering." Unbelievable.
I've seen these in museums. Can't help but think that whoever named an early jet aircraft the "Fireball" wasn't quite thinking things through.
"I am so fired."
Without comment on the specifics of this case, I expect this type of thing to happen a lot more in the future. thehackernews.com/2019/05/israel…
