By day I facilitate learning resources for college students. In quiet hours I'm immersed in literature, media, SMEs, start-ups. I am an elancer in the making.

[LITIGATION UPDATE] Today, @ConCourtSA will hand down its judgment in the matter 'Residents of Industry House v Minister of @SAPoliceService'. Residents in the case sought to confirm the 2020 High Court judgment declaring S13(7)(c) of the SAPS Act constitutionally invalid. [1/3]
(1/1) Judgment tomorrow at 12h00: Is section 13(7) of the South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995, which authorises warrantless searches of premises in a cordoned-off area, constitutionally invalid in its entirety? (Residents of Industry House v Minister of Police)
[2/3] The residents also sought to appeal against the High Court judgment insofar as it declined to declare Sections 13(7)(a) & (b) of the @SAPoliceService Act unconstitutional; and sought damages for the breach of their constitutional rights to privacy and dignity.
[COMING UP] You can buy a Joburg block of flats, for the bargain basement price of R500,000 but there’s a huge catch. Guy Dowding from High Street auctions tells us all about it at 09:50am on #NewsLink. #DStv403

A combination of just-in-time delivery systems and an almost unprecedented lack of UK warehouse capacity makes us extremely vulnerable even to a 48-hour stoppage.
It's not the way I thought it would happen. But the impacts will be similar. My article from mid-November. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
Sometimes, when you drop a glass on the floor, it doesn't shatter on first impact, but on the second or third bounce, as the waveform coincides with the next collision. This is beginning to feel a bit third bounce.
Here in @clwyd_dee_aonb I continue to see destruction of the few pockets of land that offer some sanctuary to wildlife. Redwings used to roost in this small pocket of woodland.
Why? So angry to see this today at a neighbouring farm. A valuable patch of wooded stream now gone. Trees ripped out. Hedge gone. Stream channelled. “Improvement” = environmental destruction. #ecocide
