A lot of angel investors think they need to do a lot of due diligence on a company before investing. But quick reminder: the YC interview is only about 10 minutes & they have one of the best track records. Portfolio construction wins above all else.
VC is plagued with deception and closed door networks. If you only take meetings with founders who have been introduced to you and think that's not a subjective bias, you are sadly mistaken. Especially when evidence says these doesn't equate to better returns #VentureCapital
