This year I am telling myself that I am going to do a weekly blog on systems, complexity & how things can be done differently. Foolish NY resolution? Perhaps, but check out the first post and follow along below. Plz share - it will help keep me honest! pigontracks.substack.com/p/welcome
Reminded today that my haplessness with bicycles is definitely genetic. Meet my grandfathers.
Breaking my Twitter silence to say working and thinking in systems *is not* a paradigm shift. The paradigm shift would be a world which meaningfully accommodates different worldviews and creates space to explore connections across and between them.

World-class research underpins everything we do. We're continuing to invest in a next generation of translational scientists, focused on Victoria's key health challenges. It's about equipping our state with the science we need for better health. vichealth.vic.gov.au/funding/postdo…

Reflections on authorship from @CollectiveCLab Systems storytellers. "Authorship is not just who tells the story but which perspectives are included, the proximity of the storyteller to the story, as well as the editing and crafting of the story." bit.ly/3fU12hL
Styles of thought *are not* value-free! Analytical thinking can support long-term sustainability, just as systems thinking can support the realisation of optimal outcomes in the short term. Framing too much of one as 'good' and too little of one as 'bad' is counterproductive.
When we try to analyze too much... we miss the bigger picture! Don't forget to use #holistic thinking for a long-term vision when it comes to tackling #wickedchallenges. 📅 Our next workshop: bit.ly/3dFgSvL 🌐 Join the Si Network: lnkd.in/dt3ezSA
Playing with a new concept / idea I'm calling *minimum viable alignment* - the point at which the presence of different perspectives and worldviews creates an environment where disagreement / dissensus flips from being disabling to enabling of change.
We’re looking for a Global Director of Storytelling and Communications - someone who understands the role that stories play in shifting systems. This person can be based anywhere in the world. A super exciting opportunity (even if I say so myself…!) app.beapplied.com/apply/wuksia5u…
