Long time no see! ๐ Had my first day in the office today in a digital project role. Very excited for the future! Any tips for the new hybrid office life - would love to hear them ๐
Iโm reflecting on my learning on SEO and Google Analytics. Iโm shocked at how crucial it is for web developers! Without proper optimization, how will people even find your website, let alone spend time on it? How are you optimising your website? Share your tips ๐
Soo, it's been a while since I've logged into X... I have been very busy studying two courses. I am now certified in SEO and Google Analytics! ๐ Excited to see what the future will bring! Also... Loving my new home office area and making the most out of it ๐

Such a great feeling when you manage to fix a bug that you have been working on for ages! The project in my pinned comment has been fixed. If anyone has any feedback, I will be grateful to hear it ๐
One of those days where I am doubting my abilities very hard! Almost everything has left my brain this morning. Ugh this is why I despite anxiety... Going to try and do at least some front-end work for the time being.
X - I finally had an interview for a Web Developer position! I am over the moon and grateful to have been given the opportunity. Now waiting to hear back whether I am going through to the second round and technical assessment. The next few days will be very nerve-racking ๐ซฃ
Spending the morning working on a small personal project. Nothing super fancy, just trying new things and improving my JS abilities. Also need to go back and debug another project - will do that in the evening.
Iโm reading โThe Phoenix Projectโ by Kim, Spafford and Behr. Itโs really good so far and intriguing how different areas of IT interact together. So far definitely recommend anyone who is interested in tech and development to read.
A short break away (aka an evening) and now I'm back. Doubling down on JavaScript for the next project, pushing myself to try new things and ideas. I have a vision of how something should look and work, but struggle to put it down at times. Does anyone experience this too?
I think I will have a short breather and get back into another project. I'm looking forward to sharing my progress with my task list web app. My goal is to add creativity to 'simple' projects to make them innovative.
Debugging a function today - I am determined to fix my navigation bar. My goal is for the subheading to be added to the navigation bar in the center on scroll-down. I have tried so many things at this point... If anyone has any ideas I will be eternally grateful!

This bug presents one of the toughest challenges I've encountered so far while I have been developing. I'm trying to look at positives - chance to expand my thinking, approaches, and patience. It may be key to revisit basics, which isn't necessarily a negative outcome.
Currently working on a personal project, nearly at the point of production. While reducing errors, have this one bug - subheading returning to default. At the moment going through and ensuring every line of code has a purpose. Hopefully I can figure this out soon!

It being the summer and people I know going on holidays makes it harder to concentrate on creative aspects of web dev. I think I will return to my weekly diary from tomorrow to keep myself more accountable to tasks. Does anyone have any advice?
What do you have on your desk with you when you code? I love a good cup of coffee with me and an even better @SpotifyUK playlist. Have to say, I love the feature of controlling music playing on my phone through the MacBook app! Music helps those creative juices to flow.
Gotta love debugging sessions... Debug one thing and three more come up. At least it's improving the code. (Hopefully!)
A debugging type of Sunday today! So close to finishing this portion of my project. Looking forward to sharing once complete. Is anyone else coding/debugging projects today?
I used to feel disappointed to take breaks from coding... That I will forget what I have learned so far, or that it would make me a worse developer. Today I realised the opposite. It showed me my work as a whole & where to improve for FT dev job. Don't be afraid of breaks!
