I’ve been critical of the BBC in recent years, but the coverage of the Queen’s death and funeral have been quite sublime. Exquisite music throughout, excellent commentary-particularly Huw Edwards- and plenty of respectful silence, not only on the formal events, but throughout 1/2

They’ve laid dry turf during a hot day. And not watered it as they were putting it down. Even I know that and I work in wood recycling, not gardening. Shocking job. Looks really bad for the city.
