I can't figure out if vaccines work or not. Tough one. I can see why RFK Jr is so concerned. Need Sherlock Holmes on this one.
Calgary stopped adding fluoride to its water in 2011. What happened? "The need for intravenous antibiotic therapy by children to avoid death by infection rose 700% at the Alberta Children’s Hospital." - Dr. James Dickinson @ University of Calgary calgary.ctvnews.ca/calgary-s-plan…
Just interviewed RFK Jr., who said he spent two days last week with Trump and, now that the election is won, RFK repeats that the new administration will recommend getting flouride out of drinking water on Jan. 20. Adds the administration will give "information" on vaccines.
One of the Pratt's main focuses has been on bridging the digital divide. With the Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband and @BaltimoreCityIT, we're distributing 30,000 Chromebooks to disconnected customers in the City. Head to our website for eligibility. #IMLSmedals #atthepratt

If, when discussing bridge failures you start your sentence “I’m not bridge engineer or expert” maybe you aren’t qualified to finish the sentence.
What's the takeaway? 1. COVID mRNA vaccines work. 2. They have always worked. 3. They work best when the vaccine is updated to match the current variant. 4. They have always reduced transmission. 5. They still reduce transmission. 6. Nobody lied to you. [17/17]
I’m so proud to announce the appointment of @BaltCoDPWT Director D’Andrea Walker to the position of Baltimore County Administrative Officer. Director Walker is a tireless leader whose efforts have consistently improved the Department of Public Works and Transportation.

Agree with the spirit of this but not the content. It makes no practical sense to have another place for these, libraries have the infrastructure, trust, and shrinking physical collections they must adapt to community needs. Add more / appropriately trained staff to the library.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library ran this ad in the Carroll County Times yesterday opposing a book ban in schools. The Pratt Library stands against censorship. Anyone in MD can get a Pratt Library card, and we carry all 10 of the most challenged books in the United States.
I don't agree that only large corporations with massive data sets can do security well.
“Security has become a game of scale. The more data you have about incidents, the greater your efficacy will be as a security vendor…By definition, there are only a few (companies) that can do that” @jpatel41 of @Cisco @CiscoSecure with @straits_times straitstimes.com/business/more-…
Here's a crazy radical idea: Just. Give. Kids. Free. Lunch. No income verification, no paperwork, no payment systems, no "lunch debt." Just feed every kid in public school. Why isn't every Democrat advocating for it nationwide? My piece: washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/…
Our data and analytics team worked closely with our stat folks to make this happen. I am very proud of this collaboration!

Everyone thinks innovation is just ignoring industry-specific regulations so they can move quickly. You have to understand the limitations and be creative, ignoring constraints isn't innovative, it is stupid.
