My late gran died at 99 yo, this was in 2023 and she was still crying about her father’s farm in Somerset East, taken with everything in it. They were moved to those 3 room houses in New Brighton with one bedroom. Apartheid was evil.

A White child who grows up with a Black nanny experiences full support from three parents, whereas a Black child experiences a lonely life because parents are absent the whole day, working for White people. Our backgrounds differ, but we are expected to act similarly.

Spatial Apartheid wasn't just policy. It was architecture weaponized. The Urban Areas Act of 1923 segregated cities, creating "influx controls" to limit Black access to urban spaces. Johannesburg's 56km gold reef became a psycho-geographic divide: wealthy white suburbs North,…

Then apartheid ended, the oppressors showed no remorse, did not return anything stolen and told the oppressed to get over it!

Millions of Black South Africans were kept in poverty by Apartheid laws that ensured they were kept on the edges of the economy and assigned to manual task. The system of migrant labour removed Black men from their families for 11 months of the year. Those who remained on the…

One thing about this page is that it has taught me a lot about the forgotten Heroes who dared to fight the Apartheid Government.

Petrus Ntshole was a 22-year-old anti-apartheid activist from Krugersdorp who was executed on June 16, 1964, along with three other men known as the Munsieville Four. He was a member of the Pan Africanist Congress's (PAC) Poqo wing and was hanged for his role in the killing of…
