Misleading media info on Nitrogen fertilizer is disappointing. Our AB work showed N fertilizer uptake efficiency was often in the range of 60-70% & Nitrous oxide emissions were <1-2% (very low) when N was banded or side-banded. AB farmers are using N fertilizer very efficiently!
