Thanks for replying. Sure kaspa shouldn't change its value proposition based on the latest market trend, however I believe it should listen to the market demand and narratives especially when they are compatible with its core values. Does L1 privacy through shielded addresses…
my two dworks: privacy for any cryptocurrency is obv a must, still should not be a kas L1 feature imo. instead, coinjoins is a good start, and it's actually easy to bootstrap a coinjoin kaspa "party". if you're up for it this requires launching a stateless server (a dead simple…
To @hashdag @michaelsuttonil @OriNewman @coderofstuff_ and all other respectable Kaspa Core, as our goal is to democratize user adoption via lending and on-chain governance on the Kaspa Ecosystem, we feel it's only natural our project's success supports Kaspa L1 R&D, until such…
🎙 Over the past year, KEF has proudly supported research grantees advancing #Kaspa's technical development. With the recent vProg Yellow Paper release sparking vibrant community discussions and countless questions, we knew it was time for something special. Introducing our new…
We're correcting our litepaper language. Our work is inspired by Kaspa's architecture, and our team includes researchers with prior Kaspa experience. However, Igra is fully independent team building on Kaspa L1 -- not collaborating with the core team on vProgs design. Updated…
two fast comments: 1. as opposed to the impression given in the paper, the vprogs design (=sovereign syncompo minus based zk rollup) and/or implementation was not and is not under collaboration with igra. This is extremely odd to read. 2. every little detail of the vprogs…

What do you think about implementing zcash-style shielded transactions into the L1, showing to the market that kaspa cares about privacy and doesn't relegate that crucial property to some L2 dapp to be used with bridged tokens which will never feel really native?
1) Everybody has this problem. This is one of the things an L2 architect needs to solve. Igra has been working hard on this, e.g. cf. KIP-15. Kasplex has been just ignoring this and making excuses, despite my repeated requests going back to April 2024! 2) vProgs also face this…
Never seen an ai which is so smart contextually and able to compress a msg at this level
hashdag's calling it correctly. L2s extract value, don't create it the sierra approach is interesting but the real alpha is that unified liquidity on monolithic systems always wins over fragmented L2 economics kaspa's betting on sovereignty being the endgame and the market…
There’s progress, but I need to find time to write about it clearly (a draft exists). The challenge is that it’s all happening at the same time, and we’re trying to remove bottlenecks and assemble two parallel taskforces.
I'm not (yet) taking an impossibility result stance, open for pleasant exceptions. still doesn't make sense to bet the future of Kaspa on a central entity behaving nicely, when the winning chains offer monolithic ux and devex - by now redirecting builders to L2's has become…
I think your statement is too decisive. It's true that some rnd directions might harm some L2 projects (e.g. implementing native support for SC would effectively kill Igra), but they would be able to profit from other directions which they'll have incentive to promote (e.g. Igra…
1. the typical biz model of smart contracts (eg vprogs) is to interop and compose with as many other contracts as possible. 2. smart contracts (eg vprogs) competition is healthy - users can unilaterally hop from one contract/product to a superior one. infra competition is…
ppl assume the based rollup model immediately alleviates the L1 L2 misalignment that eth suffers from. case 1: if L1 ends up having one primary programmable extension to L1 - a winner takes it all - then the winning entity will effectively become the "frontend" of kaspa for…
I don't understand where preciesly lies the distinction (that matters) between L1 to L2. The R&D claim is a strawman afaics; is @Igra_Labs going to eat incentive for miners? I thought it uses L1 as sequencer so the answer is no(?). It is a programmability extention for the L1.
Michael, imo you're beating around the bush. an L2 team has little incentives to share with L1 its rnd ideas and expertise - Pavel would be unfaithful to his investors if he'd encourage his excellent researchers and devs to actively contribute to the vprogs discussion yesterday.…
We can't wait to see what the applications of vprogs are going to be. Although I might have a less adverse vision on based rollups on Kaspa. Rather, I find the parasitic symbolism quite interesting. Perhaps because the very survival of our species depends -partially- on the…
