We've just added some extra safety features for battery module. We've integrated an eFuse chipset + battery protection for overvoltage, reverse polarity, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. Safety first!
Pilet's stereo audio module design is now complete. It features the TI TLV320AIC3105 codec, a Knowles microphone, and a 3.5mm TRRS stereo audio jack. The speakers connect via JST SURS connectors, making them easy to swap or upgrade.

The PCB for Pilet’s battery module is almost production-ready. Huge thanks to #pcbway for their awesome support and sponsoring our prototyping.
Putting the final touches on the battery module PCB of Pilet. To make it smarter, I’m adding a low-power MCU (ATtiny412) along with a battery monitoring chip that connects to the Raspberry Pi via I²C. This setup lets the Raspberry Pi OS control and monitor the batteries directly.
Here’s a sneak peek at the final draft of the #schematics of our battery management module for Pilet. Once we launch, we’ll be releasing both the schematics and #kicad PCB files as open source.
