Been meaning to get PiHole up and running on my network for a while. Finally, it's done!

This afternoon's GPT conversation highlight - where GPT made some suggestions and I told it why it was wrong. It certainly didn't tell me the advice was "half-baked nonsense" when it first spouted utter rubbish 😂

I've been headhunted by Ferrari! Or that's what this scammer would love to have you believe. There wasn't much effort taken on this one to hide the fact it's a phishing scam. The URL, from address, reply-to and links going nowhere on the footer of the landing page.

Instrument flying refresher done - 3 hours of nothing but looking at something similar to this... with the odd peak when able at the beautiful sunset. One night landing done via an instrument approach to get my night currency back. IR(R) skills test booked!

This is very poorly worded, Meta. "As part of laws in your region, you can choose whether you see ads". That implies I can turn off ads. What it doesn't imply is I can buy an ad-free experience, which is the only choice they're offering.

Docker running on a Raspberry Pi 5 with the Docker volumes on an external USB drive. Noticeable performance difference is insane when running NVMe vs SSD.

That's another instrument approach done and nailed. I'm nowhere near as rusty as I thought I'd be, getting through this flight test to get my instrument rating back should be fairly easy. Can't wait!

Something I've learned in my 22 years as a professional software engineer... When a problem and its solution is not fully understood, it's better to understand it before writing a single line of code. Especially if the correct solution is to build in an entirely different way.

Since the US removed tariff relief on low value items and Etsy suspended generation of shipping labels for US orders, I've had 10x more orders to the US than before. I hate having to cancel them. Thanks US!

Just flown my first instrument approach in over 18 months on my flight simulator ahead of some refresher training to get my instrument rating back. Fucking nailed it.
