petecodes.com is live! Check it out along with all the projects I've been building while forgetting to log on Twitter.. All feedback welcomed. #webdevelopment #reactjs #javascript #scss #nodejs #express #axios #FrontEnd #petecodes #programming

Just a few weeks ago I was rendering HTML with JS DOM manipulation. As if things weren't moving fast enough, this past week I have been building a React app with routers and component lifecycles. Stressful and exhausting but loving everyday of it! #Brainstation #Javascript #React

Recently started to really appreciate the Block__Element--Modifier methodology. Can be tedious but well worth it for larger projects. More on BEM below. #webdevelopment #CSS blog.elpassion.com/reasons-to-use…

Styling a static site without flexbox for practice today. Really making better use of the "display" feature in CSS than when I first started out a year ago! #90DaysOfCode #day6 #webdevelopment

So far quite a bit of overlap with HTML and CSS at Brainstation but great practice. Very excited to re-immerse myself back into Javascript and learn React. Its been extremely relieving and exciting to finally feel confident with my career choice. #brainstation #webdevelopment

Spent the year learning code on my own and doing a bit of freelance. It was a great learning experience but I realized I could best speed up my learning process by being in a classroom. Decided to enrol in Brainstation's web-dev program. Was accepted and started on Monday!

A senior web dev said to take 1.5x the time it took to build my wordpress site to deal with responsiveness. He wasn’t kidding. Anyone else find responsiveness tedious for Wordpress sites? Editing with Elementor has been extremely limiting. #wordpress #responsiveness #css

DevTools and I are really starting to get along famously #WebDev #programming #inspect

Had to put the calculator back down at the end of April as I was fortunate enough to be given my first paid project - a WordPress website for a client. Would rather stick to more coding but this has so far been a good learning curve #WordPress #website #webdev

Finished styling my vanilla JS calculator today and managed to get all the buttons to display when clicked. Tomorrow’s goal: - complete a function when combining operators with constants. #calculator #programming #JavaScript

Project for hopefully JUST the next few days: - Build a calculator from scratch with vanilla JavaScript. Styling almost complete! Tomorrow is where the real challenge begins as I try to get it working without the help of the internet 😅 #calculator #javascript #programming

Paused JavaScript over the weekend for a potential SEO client. Managed to point out a few small things to improve SEO like image optimization, JavaScript minification, and creating search friendly links to other pages on the site. #SEO #SearchEngineOptimization #webdevelopment

Tonight's exercises - A continuation of manipulating arrays and strings. So many different methods. A rabbit hole. #vanillaJavascript #arrays #programming
