It is worth pointing out again: None of these people actually believe any of this horse shit, because if they did they would simply abandon their job and get all this incredibly easy to get free stuff they keep claiming exists. They don't, because they know it's not real.
Pure distilled essence of 1979-2025, here. I’m loaded and loving it but somehow I can never shake this mortal terror that somewhere, some poor wanker might be eating a free cheese sandwich.
Today was the first time I understood on a deep, instinctive level that Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel are two people.
“We can’t afford so many autistic and ADHD people on benefits.” Translation: we can afford MPs’ expenses, banker bonuses, corporate tax breaks, corporate tax evasion — but not disabled kids having support, dignity, possibility. #Disability isn’t the drain.
Worklessness is not worthlessness. The system ties worth to wages to keep people docile and compliant. But worth is human, not earned — and never taken away by unemployment.
It’s no coincidence the White House is looking to cut disability benefits. In the UK, Labour’s welfare ‘reforms’ echo the same tactic: shrink eligibility, blame individuals, and hide structural violence under “reform”.
Super important to amplify this, while bearing in mind we need creative ways to get this across to folk not interested in disability because the mainstream media repeatedly show they are not interested in facts (PIP IS NOT AN OUT OF WORK BENEFIT etc) #TakingThePiP #CareNotCuts
The proportion of working-age disabled people in England who are “economically inactive” is not “spiralling” and may even have fallen over the last nine years, new official government statistics suggest. #DWP disabilitynewsservice.com/government-rep…
You're laughing. Rachel Reeves is crying because she couldn't cut disability benefits and you're laughing.
Labour expects hundreds of thousands to keep PIP via appeals. But appeals destroy mental health and cost millions. So why force this ordeal? Only explanation: you want the appearance of savings, not real ones. Pure cruelty. #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePip
Private Eye has found that that 281,000 PIP claimants *already in paid work* stand to lose out under the proposed cuts (i.e the four-point rule) That's 55% of all PIP claimants in paid work, according to the article (not my article but I want to flag it)
Amazing—the arrogance of Labour MPs, especially the frontbench, in thinking they understand mental and physical health, behavioural science, risk, and what it would take to rebuild trust in the DWP better than ALL disabled people, health organisations, and researchers combined.
Labour will be throwing hundreds of thousands of people on the bonfire, stories like this show how disabled people are treated in the work place.
I am yet to see a single anti/critical-psych speak out against the proposed disability benefit cuts or highlight the government's cruelty or the potential to kill thousands of disabled people. The ongoing narrative this group of professionals push is the EXACT narrative being 1/
‘The number of people with chronic conditions is soaring. Are we less healthy than we used to be – or overdiagnosing illness?’ Article questioning utility of labels such as ADHD and quoting Dr Lucy Johnstone among others. theguardian.com/society/2025/m…
The insistence that autism and ADHD are 'overdiagnosed' is incredibly sinister when you consider the fact that entire populations - women, people of colour - have historically been denied access to those diagnoses and the increase in numbers is partly due to making up that gap.
Remember : If you lose your PIP in these cuts .. Apply to social services for care. Swamp the system with a million new disabled people needing the state to pay £1000 a week to care for you and not the measley £83 a week for your current carer. #DisabilityBenefits
At this point, the only *good* Labour MPs are Labour MPs who are wondering why they're still Labour MPs because they no longer recognise their own party. #DisabilityBenefits
Liz Kendall: “disabled people should have control and dignity over their own lives” …really? How can they have that when you’re making it impossible for them to live? #DisabilityBenefits
The biggest silence in the whole of Kendall’s speech was when she said Labour would improve safeguarding at the DWP. She left a pause for cheer but there was not one from either side of the House. MPs have read their emails-they know #DisabilityBenefits cuts will result in death.
