randomuser.me has been under a DDoS attack for the last couple of days. We will be upgrading our infrastructure in the coming weeks to better handle attacks and accommodate the increased load we've been seeing from legitimate users.

It's been a while, but the Random User Generator API 1.2 update is ready! Randomuser.me will be down around 10 pm Central Time and should be back up within the hour if everything goes according to plan.

The old RandomAPI beta is shutting down Nov. 1! Make sure you transfer your data over to the new beta (beta.randomapi.com) before then.
We are in the process of changing nameservers to @cloudflare and also moving to a new server. There may be some downtime.

We are investigating the server issues when accessing with HTTPS. For now, access the API via api.randomuser.me

Server issues are resolved for now - it looks like a bad config setting from a recent update was to blame.
