Drake called Kendrick a woman beater & said his kid might be by another man so NO, once the gloves are off they are OFF. Rap Battles have always been like this. I can tell some of ya’ll weren’t around to hear disses from 20-30 years ago. This isn’t new.

MC Shan took a serious “L” when KRS dropped “The Bridge is Over” but if MC Shan would have ignored “South Bronx” and not replied with “Kill that Noise”, KRS/BDP might not have taken off like it did & Criminal Minded might not have had a Classic impact. Hip Hop won in this battle.

Very sad to hear Madlib lost his home in the L.A fires. I hope the hiphop community will go extra hard to help him get back on his feet asap. Madlib is greatly loved and respected.

Flowers & respect to Kool Moe Dee, one of the first lyrical kings along with Caz & Mel. An MC that elevated Battle Rap, deep thought in rhymes along with multiple flows, he deserves endless props. From Treacherous Three to Solo career he is forever in the Hip Hop HOF…..👑

One MC / rapper pushed more $ into a city and community than anyone. As best he could. That person is @MCHammer . So before you rank any HipHop moguls power lists or Forbes charts you should know that historical fact. Oakland was a life investment and its people.

I don’t care if someone isn’t a fan of Fat Joe but let’s not act like DITC, Terror Squad, Big Pun Legacy, huge collaborations, street & club bangers didn’t happen. He made his mark in Hip Hop. I keep perspective.✌🏽
