27 March 2006 | Rudolf Vrba passed away, a Slovak Jew b. in 1918. On 7 April 1944 he escaped from #Auschwitz together with Alfred Wetzler Their report contributed later to halting the deportations of Hungarian Jews for extermination to Auschwitz.
