Dear San Diego, We get it. We don’t get much practice driving in the rain. So take a breath. Embrace a gentle pace. Headlights on. Extra space. Remember: If the road looks flooded, turn around, don’t drown. A totaled car would really put a damper on Christmas. 🎄
Widespread moderate to heavy rain is on the way with highest amounts in SBD County Mtns! Most of the rainfall will occur during the daytime on Christmas Eve. Urban and river flooding may occur along with mud and debris flows possible in the mtns near burn scars!
UPDATE: Crews have successfully stopped the rate of spread of the fires along the eastbound SR-905. Crews will remain on scene with brush rigs and water tenders.

At Fire Station 45 in #MissionValley, the @Burn_Institute Holiday Party brought together survivors, first responders and loved ones for a heartfelt celebration. This annual event is a reminder of the strength found in community—and the compassion that defines our city.
