Published! The myofibre fusion or splitting debate continues - our findings support fusion rather than splitting, at least in healthy regenerating muscle. A great home for it too in Skeletal Muscle🤩 @grith_hojfeldt @ISMCopenhagen #myotwitter doi.org/10.1186/s13395…
No longer just a preprint: I am pretty sure Abigail used this story as a Trojan horse to make me fall in love with microscopy - she succeeded. It also doesn’t hurt that the images are beautiful to look at! …eletalmusclejournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
This is a great course! Happy to be able to contribute. Very well organised by @MolecularUCPH and @NEXSKU. For those who missed my talk one of my younger fans made this summary😅💪
Abigail Mackey at #MuscleCPH2023 Elegant work on the #MTJ and on how exercise protects the muscle-nerve connection. Also, muscle fiber shape really matters. Awesome talk.
On the cover🤩 the beautiful myotendinous junction, stained and imaged by Christian @C_Hoegsbjerg @ISMCopenhagen Great peer-review and publication process @J_Cell_Sci doi.org/10.1242/jcs.26… Human muscle-tendon snRNAseq data coming soon on Myoatlas @doug_millay
It’s #FluorescenceFriday & we are highlighting the latest cover of @J_Cell_Sci. The cover image from @AndersKarlsen19 @AbigailMackey1, et al. shows a human adult muscle fibre, stained for actin (magenta), dystrophin (green), vimentin (cyan) and DNA (grey). journals.biologists.com/jcs/article/13…
JUICE is on its way to Jupiter!! Congratulations to all involved, especially our own group at @DIASAstronomy Mika, @cm_jackman and Corentin. We're so proud to be involved in this important mission #DIASdiscovers #ESAJuice
Exciting times ahead with @AbigailMackey1 starting on March 1st as Clinical Professor in Muscle Physiology and Regeneration after Traumatic Soft-Tissue Injury at Dept of Clinical Medicine, based @ISMCopenhagen! #myotwitter
I'm so excited about this next chapter in my life! A small geographical move within Uni Copenhagen and back to @ISMCopenhagen where I started as a postdoc in 2004! #feelslikecominghome

This video puts it so well, public service workers are expected to show dedication without remuneration. The input from the wee Glasgow gran at the end is one you see a lot on the picket line too:

ChatGPT could be a good debugging companion; it not only explains the bug but fixes it and explain the fix 🤯
What's crazier? In a few more prompts I was able to get a working version in Java and in Python. The downstream impact of this on cheating in school, college, interviews, is humongous. Final program: go.dev/play/p/44WjD_-…
ChatGPT's programming skills are WILD. Using just 3 prompts, it wrote a Sudoku solver in GoLang in <1 min. 1 <Problem text from Leetcode> 2 Write a function to print that sudoku board 3 Can you re-write solve() to use backtracking? A 150+ line program. It ran on the first try!

The past two days I have had so much abuse and crap on twitter. I'm retweeting this video because it'll upset them even more. But give the rest of us a bloody good laugh 😃 enjoy... and you're welcome. 🎥@larryandpaul #CabinetMembersAppeal

And if you *still* need convincing that bigoted liar Boris Johnson might not actually be the Churchillian figure we've been told he is by sycophantic pundits, journalists, MPs and utterly delusional morons, here's what is quite possibly his finest hour:
