Today marks the one-year anniversary of SCOTUS' decision in Allen v. Milligan. We are proud to have supported the Alabama voters who sought (and secured) a new, fair, congressional map with additional Black opportunity districts. redistrictingfoundation.org/news/ag-eric-h…
The Allen v. Milligan decision brought fairer electoral maps to states that for too long had denied communities of color a fair say in their democratic process. While we still have a long way to go in achieving fair representation—this decision was a significant step forward.
