It’s the plot of the 1996 Hollywood hit Twister, but it’s also real life. Inspiration came from the “Dorothy” system featured in the "best storm-chasing movie of all time". #hailsonde @westernuNHP @BOM_au @joshuasoderholm (my story in @CanadaInSpace) buff.ly/3L3shmN

Job posting: Sensor expert for remote, part-time work at Sparv Embedded files.sparvembedded.com/2023-09_Sensor…

Vaisala introduces an "E" version of their RS41 radiosonde, with biodegradable cover and twine. Great! Oh wait, the material is "patent pending"... so others are actively prevented from being environmentally friendly? Let's hope they make it free.

The NASA S-MODE project explores upper ocean currents and ocean-atmosphere interaction. They use our Windsond miniature radiosondes. Great to see this exciting work explained!

A month at sea 🛥️ 🌊 Scientists with @NASA's S-MODE mission set sail to study how ocean whirlpools drive the transfer of nutrients and energy between the ocean and atmosphere and, ultimately, help shape Earth’s climate. Dive deeper on the blog: go.nasa.gov/3EMuy2R
