I just put up a new blog post on GraphQL networking using URLSession (no Apollo). I've had a couple requests for this, so I hope it helps anyone looking to jump into GraphQL with Swift. #GraphQL #Swift @iOSBrett @Spencerccurtis swiftstudent.com/2020-10-09-gra…
So happy to share that I've accepted an offer from @renewedvision as a software engineer and will be starting there soon! The position seems like a perfect fit for me, and having used their software in the past, I'm excited to be a part of it's future development.
I worked directly with Jon for two months on an app for Eco-Soap Bank and have to say that he is an outstanding developer. He works well on a team, and produces excellent code in a short amount of time.
Hi again! I'm still looking for work. If you're looking for an iOS/Swift dev or a dev who can adapt quickly to new languages/environments/frameworks, we may be able to help each other out. GH: github.com/jonbash LI: linkedin.com/in/jonbashcode Website: jonbash.com

Today is my last day of Lambda School! It's been almost 8 months since I started and I'm proud of how much I've grown both technically and personally. Can't wait to begin working as a full time developer, hopefully soon 😃 swiftstudent.com/2020-09-24-las…
Fernando is an amazing developer and mentor. This will be a great opportunity to glean some knowledge from a senior iOS dev with tons of experience. Don’t know if I’ll make it for sure, but will definitely try!
Junior devs: Next Tuesday I'll be hosting a zoom where you'll be welcome to ask me questions about advancing your career, technical advice, résumé, how to get to senior. The only catch, it'll be 5 minutes per person. The link to the Zoom will go out in my newsletter on Monday
Looking forward to seeing this book!
After teaching iOS for so long, I feel like I finally have something to contribute to the community. I'm writing a book on improving your code when you're a junior dev. Would love it if you join the mailing list! I'll give you updates and code snippets. mailchi.mp/hey/fromjunior…
Love this new show. I’ve had three of these developers as instructors at Lambda School and they were all amazing. Great to hear their perspective in the new releases from WWDC!
I was on @ferrousguy’s new show, Swiftly Built, last night along with @PaulSolt and @olivaresF to discuss what was announced at WWDC! Please give it a watch/listen 😊 #WWDC20 youtu.be/FCXrFJo4I7U

Swiftly Built - WWDC Debrief Day 2
Paul is one of the best iOS instructors I have ever come across. I had him for unit 4 of my iOS curriculum at Lambda. I’m positive he will be a great addition to whatever company he ends up at!
Lambda School is closing enrollment to the iOS Program ... so I’ll be unemployed at the end of June. 😕 I’m looking for a new Senior iOS Development position. 📱😃☕️ Please RT. Thanks! @LambdaSchool @Austen #iosdev #ios #swift
Ben is an excellent teacher. If you have the time and are interested, I highly recommend joining him to see his process for building this app!
Based on the recent poll I did about building apps live, I’ve decided to give it a go! 📺 twitch.tv/ferrousguy 🗓 Thursday, May 14th @ 9:30 PM First app is a game, and all steps will be covered. We’ll take it 1 hour at a time until it’s built. See ya there! 👋
I’m honored that Apple decided to name their new challenge for WWDC after me! 😜 Really though, it’s funny that I decided on using the name Swift Student and getting swiftstudent.com last fall and now Apple has a Swift Student Challenge...
YES! WWDC20 starts June 22nd, and I'm loving the Swift Student Challenge: developer.apple.com/wwdc20/
This is a nice change, cleans things up nicely.

Great thread on UI Testing!
Q: I'm looking for teams that are using iOS-UI-Tests successfully on CI. Curious about approach, problems, what framework is used, and performance. Thinking about doing a talk about UI Testing on iOS, successful tactics, and how it changed over the years. My DMs are open. 🙏
Thanks @twostraws for your excellent article on using Result in Swift! hackingwithswift.com/articles/161/h… I just published a post about drawing inspiration from that article to incorporate Result into URLSession through an extension on my blog. swiftstudent.com/2020-04-14-url… #iOSDev #SwiftLang

Clear up any ambiguity and get typed errors too
Looking forward to using this in my own projects!
I ❤️ SwiftUI, but as I’ve been using it for the past months, I had to ask myself the question — what would it be like if we had SwiftUI, without the baggage of Swift? 🤔 Introducing my latest open source project: Objective-C UI 🚀 swiftbysundell.com/special/introd…
