The build up to the Tory leadership announcement is about as exciting as waiting to hear which variety of faeces is going to be smeared all over our faces for the next few months. Will it be cow shit, or will it be a handful of runny sheep turds? I’ve never been so underwhelmed.

On 12 Dec @BorisJohnson asked NHS & local govt to massively expand booster campaign at huge pace. Latest data & like for like days (Tues 7 Dec to Tues 21) show boosters administered has gone from 391k to 968k a day (a 2.5x increase) in fortnight. R/T if you agree this is amazing!

The Tories are cutting the pay of police officers, teachers, junior doctors and millions of other key workers. No pay rise for social care heroes either. Instead of giving our key workers a pay rise the Tories have given the money to their mates and Tory donors. A total racket.

When the Prime Minister says "we did everything we could" the public will reflect on why we have 100,000 deaths and the highest death toll in Europe. Repeatedly acting too late, seeding Covid into our care homes, failure on PPE, failed test and trace system, no border controls.
"We truly did everything we could to minimise loss of life." No, @BorisJohnson, you absolutely did not. You didn't lock down. You didn't close borders. You didn't protect care homes. You didn't deliver on test & trace. You just didn't have the guts to take the tough decisions.
