In less than 24 hours, the SCOTUS has ruled that states do NOT have the right to enact measures to protect from gun violence but simultaneously DO have the right to restrict a woman’s right to choose. This isn’t about state’s rights—it’s about advancing a political agenda.
If women could shoot bullets out of their fallopian tubes they'd have more rights. :(
The math comes down to: - McConnell refusing a vote on Obama's nominee (Garland) in 2016 - Clinton losing/Trump winning. - Collins and Manchin voting for Kavanaugh, believing he would not overturn Roe. (Together they could have blocked him.) - Ginsburg not retiring in 2015.
It takes a monster to kill children. But to watch monsters kill children again and again and do nothing isn’t just insanity—it’s inhumanity.
So the Republican Party supports forcing women to give birth against their will, but opposes providing childcare, paid leave or healthcare. Got it.
