I read your op-ed and appreciate your perspective. To answer your question about why didn't Republicans just pick up the phone - it's been tried for several years only to be met with - 'you just don't understand' - 'you're not informed' - and 'you're racist'.

I am focused on promoting #Conservative solutions to many of these issues. No longer is it acceptable to only allow progressive solutions, because they have not always worked and it has been the least among us who have paid the price.
