all "this is how an X" looks like has reminded me is that I need to write more code. and so do all of you. 🦀 🐑

I had 1 tweet go tiny viral and I spent the whole day tweeting. Now I know how these sites get you…. Hello world, I guess I’m here chasing the next high👋
Codex CLI + iPhone + ssh + tmux. The progress this year in both LLM code generation and coding agent harnesses is truly amazing. I can now get actual work done like this. Limited slices of actual work, but obviously this will increase. There's also now lots of crossover between…
No one complains about med school or law school standardized tests, I have no idea why the hate for leetcode. Should startups use leetcode? Definitely not. Do large companies hiring 10k+ people need some standard process? Definitely yes. They are giving you the play book,…

i finally got a job as a compiler engineer!! it took months of grinding, so i wrote a biiig post about how i recruited, what the interviews are like, etc. link in bio 🥰
It’s not that codebases aren’t optimized for reading, it’s that programming languages to this date have been trying to balance writing AND reading. You need a new language which optimizes for reading.
As an engineer, you spend a lot more time reading and understanding code than you do writing code. But codebases aren't necessarily optimized for this; scrolling through a ton of CRUD functions tells you a lot less about what a file does than a clear explanation of why the code…
Only in SF kinda story. Saw a beautiful girl at this cafe I was working from, well dressed, waiting for someone for over 25 mins & visibly distressed. Spoke to her, she was on an interview and didn't show up (stupid CEO). We spoke more. Told her what @boundaryML does,…
