It wouldn't surprise me if he just recently figured out that he is autistic and this is him trying to make changes to make everyone happier. It's possible to both be extremely opinionated and respectful. But it's hard to do the latter if you're autistic.

Looks to me like a bunch of ableist bullies ganged up on an autistic person who had difficulties understanding human emotions. Instead of helping him and understanding his condition they pushed him away from what he loves most. These people are cruel #Linux
I thought LKML was a place for the elite programmers, the navy seals of the programming field, and that some mastermind was needed for, you know, "Herding cats" and all that. Not a place for beginners who want moral support and warm fuzzy feelings. 🤔🤔🤔
