Great collection of workbench books from the folks at Popular Woodworking includes Chris Schwarz' books & vids: http://tinyurl.com/3bejk3s

Great Deal on the Vika Workbench: Rockler's Woodworking stores the excellent portable workbench, the Vika for only $99.

Lots of kiln time and two months in my shop. Copper Beech is now pretty much dry. Starting to put ideas together for Bench 3.0.

Bench 1 from a huge Copper Beech tree from nearby. Just milled into 2.5 & 4.25 slabs. Air drying then off to the kiln. Damn heavy stuff!

Long time, no posts. Sorry. Real busy spring time here. Started the process of building two new benches. Will be documenting progress.

Outstanding new adjustable height (always hard to do) bench plan. Very clever, inexpensive and easy to build: http://jack-bench.com

WBD now hosted by http://buzzbuzznet.net. Special discount to woodworkers who want their very own website. Use code "roubo" at checkout.

Workbench Lecture this Sunday. PT School of Woodworking is having an open house. I'll be there at 3 talking about upcoming bench class.

Making a bench from the ground up. Next formal bench will be made from a felled European Copper Beech tree I having sliced and kiln dried.

Great find! The Evan Falls Woodworks Library. 175 complete books on woodworking. All Free!: http://tinyurl.com/5g24eb

What's happening at Workbench Design? Working on a new website and designing a new workbench. More soon!

I purchased sections of bowling alley lane with the idea to create a new type of workbench using all recycled wood. Consider trying it, too.

Want to build a bench in a week? I'm teaching a Workbench Class this summer in Port Townsend, WA. Check it out: http://ptwoodschool.com.

Workbench Design reached a milestone on Saturday: 5,000,000 pages served. Over a million were added in less then four months!

Will be teaching a class on workbench building late spring in Port Townsend. Still working out design and details. Lots to do. Stay tuned.

James Krenov died Wednesday. A great inspiration to many woodworkers. A sad day indeed...

workbenchdesign.net was interviewed by Michael Dresdner, Editor of Woodworker's Journal Magazine. See it here: http://tinyurl.com/lzplcs

Richard Maguire new Modern Workhorse bench is a combination of Dominy top and Roubo base. Excellent! http://tinyurl.com/wbd0621
