#TraumaInformed & trauma-trained are great. The problem arises when that lens is used to view perpetrators as “damaged” or in “need of help”. Perpetrators need accountability… not “help”. Without #CoerciveControlTraining, professionals are manipulated & victims re-traumatized!
Beyond being trauma-trained, therapists need to be coercive control informed to understand the harm inflicted by the CC onto these family systems, onto our most vulnerable, our children.
