We need to challenge the myth of the normal child that leads to sorting/labeling of Ss as high, low, at risk, capable, or disabled. All Ss are capable of doing math. All Ss should have access to standards-based instruction. All Ss learn best thru problem solving. #LevelingUpMath

So true! Denying Ss to engage in productive struggle has repeatedly shown to perpetuate gaps. Yet, doing something different is scary and hard. I've learned that discomfort as a teacher is exactly what we want Ss to feel. That risk taking is the heart of learning. #LevelingUpMath
