Notability is an app kind of like Paper. In the same category. Not sure what I'd use it for. Anyone have any ideas? #MuEmTech
On my way to creating a text-based adventure with Twine! I tried this in Python but I found myself getting overwhelmed by the stacks of code. Loving the visual representation Twine gives to my code. #MUEmTech
On Audible, I was unable to find certain authors. Went through the help section and solved the issue. Lots of practice with the patience and trouble shooting that will be a part of working in LIS. #MUEmTech
Has anyone tried Fantastical 2? It makes your calendar so much easier to read. It's like a super calendar. Works with most calendar apps. #MUEmTech
It's done! It looks really cool and wasn't too hard to do. @LightBurnLaser made it really easy. I can't wait to make more things. #MUEmTech
Why Listening to a Book Is Not the Same as Reading It This is one writer’s opinion. I enjoyed the read, but it’s an important convo to have and hear diff views and real evidence. I see positives and negatives for listening. I wld like to read more scientific articles. #MUEmTech
Not much of a graphic designer but I tried my hand at Gimp today. Getting the concept of image layers down was challenging but I finally managed to produce text with an outline! #MUEmTech
In the Paprika app, you can search for recipes through Google, then "download" them and they go right into your recipe manager. This a nice set up! Definitely will use this. #MUEmTech
Thought the weekend was a good time to dive into something relaxing like programming. Python proved to be easy to learn for this novice programmer, aside from a few syntax errors here and there... #MUEmTech
3D printing is a form of additive manufacturing that melts various materials to 500 degrees & builds layers 1 at a time on a build plate heated to 200 degrees. Print times vary on material used & complexity of project. #MUEmTech
Trying the budgeting app "Pennies." I heard it was simple so thought it would simplify my budgeting, but I think its too simple. Doesn't seem to offer much. You'd think that would make it easy to use too, right? Not finding that. #MUEmTech
I could deal with paying $4.99 for Paprika Recipe Manager app for my iPad but $29.99 for the desktop! It IS a good app with tools for organizing your recipes as well as meal planning... maybe I'll put the desktop version on my Christmas list. #MuEmTech
EndNote is a bit more complex than Mendeley on the surface, but comes with an impressive arsenal of reference tools. I conducted a subject search thru Mizzou remote library, saved & attached a reference all in one window! #MUEmTech
Trying Zotero. Definitely useful for school--and librarians. Intuitive also. I found I could just drag items into the new folder I created. One thing: I'm wondering why I don't see photos in the list of items to add. Artwork is there... #MUEmTEch
First citation manager I'll be exploring is Mendeley. Very easy to use, simply drag and drop PDFs into the window and a wealth of info about sources is displayed automatically. Invaluable tool for managing my sources for Am Lib History research paper! #MUEmTech
Using @Wix was much easier than expected! Wix ADI offers a ton of pre-loaded features and guides users through the process of building a resume website. Definitely using this resource for Assignment 3! #MUEmTech
I got everything loaded and now it's cutting! @LightBurnLaser is much easier to use than I thought it would be. #MUEmTech
Anyone in Emerging Tech class interested in focusing on Public libraries for the group project? #MuEmTech
I am using Weebly to build my multimedia cv. Curious as to what others are using for theirs. Anyone🤔? #MUEmTech
It's good that you were able to find a layout that works best for you. Drive does allow you to look at items on your phone with no internet, too. Dropbox was always a program that gave me more issues. Was there anything else you enjoyed about how it stores information? #MUEmTech

After hearing different opinions, tried out Dropbox & Google Drive. I felt a little more comfortable with the layout of Dropbox, and liked how it linked to my phone without the internet. Both definitely relevent to saving info in LIS. #MUEmTech
And last but not least, if I ever have to create a webpage, I'll use Visual Studio Code. We used it over the summer in intro to web development (fun class) and it is really easy to get into, as well as it's a free program. #MUEmTech
Just had a meeting with a classmate in @zoom_us. I like that meetings are easy to set up, as well as all of the little tools you get while in there. I do wish it was easier to set a meeting for an undefined length of time for group work. #MUEmTech
I love seeing the lists, I hope it's helping! I have a horrid amount of lists and the calendar power-up I chose makes me understand what's due when. I love the checklists you can add to each item. I have all the boards. Use two. #whoops #MUEmTech
Read an awesome blog from @NASA @viatumblr today. It's really cool that the @NASA_Astronauts are best friends. #MUEmTech #WomenInSTEM
Dashlane, is a secure password app. It's a few steps to set up with an email, pw, a couple of codes, and then you can log-in and visit different websites to save your pw's to Dashlane. Ideally you can save all your pw here and just remember one. #MUEmTech
I understand @twinethreads better now. It would be really fun to use to make a choose your adventure story. I think that I will use it for programming next year. #MUEmTech
I asked the amazing @lizbernhardt for help with @twinethreads. So I am trying it again, with a cheat sheet. #MUEmTech
Finishing up the project with an audio book from #Audible. Very convenient to use since you can sign in with an Amazon account. Great for relaxing while listening to chunky history books! #MUEmTech
Glad you are enjoying it! It's one of the easiest ways to get into code I think and very fun! #MUEmTech
On my way to creating a text-based adventure with Twine! I tried this in Python but I found myself getting overwhelmed by the stacks of code. Loving the visual representation Twine gives to my code. #MUEmTech
That's really neat! If only my cats would follow a chore chart! #MUEmtech
I also prefer physical books, but having online libraries is so easy. I'm with you though, I'll always make room for a fun book to read in my bag before I logged onto libby. #MUEmtech
Using @Wix was much easier than expected! Wix ADI offers a ton of pre-loaded features and guides users through the process of building a resume website. Definitely using this resource for Assignment 3! #MUEmTech
Ok so I love yarn. I crochet all the time. Where do I get patterns? Oddly enough, Reddit. r/crochet is where I'm at. The people are super helpful, we trade WIPs, it's just so wholesome. #MUEmTech
Made my first animation on Scratch w/ the help of tutorials. Basic, but a start. Starting to understand the basic idea of coding. Some level of coding knowledge definitely needed for LIS. Used tech Bitly to shorten link! #MUEmTech bit.ly/ScratchAnimati…
New IOS #googlekeep note app: more accessible than evernote? but no folders option. Definitely more colorfl #MUEmTech
Evernote looks very useful. Excited to explore more! Had trouble figuring out how to use the app, still need to work on it. YouTube helped. Easier to use on my phone vs computer. Great for personal/work/sharing info. #MUEmTech (that's a cat getting organized, just w/o Evernote).

Third new technology explored is GIF making. #techfail or #techsuccess? Jury is still out on this one. #MUEmTech
#muemtech Whoa, my LinkedIn profile is waaaay out of date. I can look at other librarian's profiles for ideas!
