The design of the #NdebeScript number system is important because each number gives visual clues about the other numbers it is related to. First the unique Sub-Base units: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 2 is a progression from 1 3 is a progression from 2 4 is a progression from 3

Next, the #NdebeScript Sub-Base Markers: 5, 10, 15 These are also unique. 5 is a progression from 0, while 10 and 15 have the same body stem as 5 to show that they are all base markers, but different heads to differentiate themselves. So what is the point of all this?
