Installing perl 5.28 right now #perlbrew
Hm… Yesterday, "perlbrew install perl-5.28.3" failed on two different hosts (no problems w/ 5.30.3). Today, "cpanm App::Cpan" (v2.28) timed out; bypassing the tests w/ "--notest" works, but tests exist to be run (and passed) prior to installation. #Perl #perlbrew #CPAN #cpanm

Seems version managers won't work with @msys2org , tried #perlbrew and it fails to find c library or link test script. Possibly I need to install some additional stuff, but it's hard to say what.

sometimes I need to update some perl modules that I have installed on my system, I use: #perlbrew for this with #cpm_perl in a single command line: perlbrew exec 'cpm install -v -g $(cpan-outdated -p)'

I find this particularly important as I have self-compiled Perl versions from #perlbrew and static /usr/bin/perl always refers to system Perl.
