A5: I've had to create a "coming home" routine in order to leave the office behind. Sometimes we go for a walk, get started making dinner, etc., but I struggle to force the computer to close and not look again until the next day. #smsdtech

A3: For communicating, I am using email, google classroom, a shared google doc, and zoom. That sounds like a lot, but I know I am still not reaching some students. #smsdtech

A2: I had one student who reviewed for a third-quarter test. When he retake it, he did well enough to raise his grade to the next grade level. It was work on both of our parts, but it paid off.#smsdtech

A5: I get my workouts in before everyone wakes up and I make sure I take time each day to get outside. Eating meals outside, going on walks, taking kids out for "recess". #smsdtech

A1: Amy, teacher at SMSouth. Best teaching day was first day I had a zoom with students. Exciting to finally see faces! #smsdtech

Tim Vermeer, instructional coach at SMNW. Running outside with my wife 🏃‍♀️🏃 #smsdtech

A5: It's hard to separate home and work when they're in the same space. I find I'm working more when it's always nearby. Maintaining a schedule, changing clothes for work and home, and completely disconnecting for a while at the end of the work day all seem to help. #smsdtech. .

A2: There are a lot of demands at home. When you get in the car to go to work, you leave behind your home responsibilities until the afternoon. Now, those responsibilities are all right there with you. #smsdtech

A6: Teachers who are finding the most success are the ones who connect with students AND parents. Canvas has been indispensable in this for these teachers, students, and families. (but these teachers have had to build it from scratch, kudos to them!) #smsdtech

A6: I had never used the on-line tools of our textbook before. Now, that is a great tool to track student progress. Several tech tools that used to be an "add-on" are now becoming vital. #smsdtech

A2: balancing work life with everything else. Also staying active, trying to find time for walks and runs! #smsdtech

A1: my son and I cleaned out the office. A project we have wanted to do for several years! I am blessed to have enough space in our home to work quietly.#smsdtech

I don't feel like I have mastered anything. But, I have my gotten my toes wet in several applications that are worth exploring more. So, I guess that is a win. #smsdtech

A7: I have a strong department at school, and we communicate through various ways, constantly sharing ideas. Twitter is also extremely helpful (though maybe like a firehose at times!) #smsdtech

A3: I have been using the feedback option within Google forms to explain why a certain answer is the correct one. Also, silly things like "way to go" and smiley faces in feedback for correct responses. #smsdtech

A4: Create smaller and more intentional groups! Large groups are ineffective. A checklist should be provided to guide feedback processes #smsdtech

Thanks, @smsdTeachwTech for hosting. Good to connect with other teachers. #smsdtech

Amy from SMS. It brought me joy to write a letter of rec for a student this week. Remembering how great kids really are. #smsdtech

A4: I don’t know if I have mastered things because I am always learning but I have definitely learned multiple ways/formats for PD! I have also gotten better at prioritizing what needs to be done first. #smsdtech

A3: This extrovert is looking forward to seeing staff and students in person again! I miss Ts and Ss coming into my office to mentor, collaborate, or just talk! #smsdtech

A2: I had one student who reviewed for a third-quarter test. When he retake it, he did well enough to raise his grade to the next grade level. It was work on both of our parts, but it paid off.#smsdtech

A1: In my PD session yesterday, many staff were talking about how they are connecting with students through #distancelearning who were a bit quiet when in the classroom! Loved hearing excitement towards implementing a #blendedlearning approach next year! #smsdtech

A1: I am learning so much through all of this! One thing going well is how staff are continuously reaching out to #ALLstudents! We are also continuing to ask ourselves questions that revolve around #equity before implementation. #smsdtech

Kelley Capper, Instructional Coach @SMWestOffice here! One thing that made me happy this week was a successful day of potty training yesterday! Woot woot! #smsdtech

A5: Teacher Clarity! Pick something specific and give great detailed feedback. Too much feedback can be overwhelming and unproductive #smsdtech

A5: Teach and model to students what constructive and positive feedback should look like. Provide support before accountability. #smsdtech

A4: Create smaller and more intentional groups! Large groups are ineffective. A checklist should be provided to guide feedback processes #smsdtech

A2: Providing models or sample student work for students. Give feedback on sample work and how it could be improved to meet mastery #smsdtech

A4: using breakout rooms in zoom to create small groups. It is the only way I have gotten students to talk to each other. #smsdtech

A3: I have been using the feedback option within Google forms to explain why a certain answer is the correct one. Also, silly things like "way to go" and smiley faces in feedback for correct responses. #smsdtech

Tim Vermeer, instructional coach at SMNW. Running outside with my wife 🏃‍♀️🏃 #smsdtech

A2: giving students a rubric before they start a project has helped students to self-assess along the way. This allows for more productive and focused verbal feedback on my end.#smsdtech

Amy from SMS. It brought me joy to write a letter of rec for a student this week. Remembering how great kids really are. #smsdtech

A3: Google Classroom rubric feature is a great way to deliver strengths-based feedback for students. #smsdtech

A1: I see problem-based challenges and assignments that incorporate a creative outlet to be most successful for IH teachers/students and my own kids at home. #smsdtech

A1: Instructional Coach at Indian Hills, see photo below for my plans! Work outside as much as I can today! #smsdtech
