In our #STEMkey meeting last week we worked on strategies & materials to enable future #STEMteachers to teach subject knowledge while fostering key competences. Students need the ability to apply knowledge, while adressing their emotional attitudes & personal viewpoints.
In our #STEMkey project, #researchers develop teaching modules for higher education programs for future #STEMteachers. The #modules use real-life contexts as starting point for an #interdiscplinary STEM education approach.Take a look at our poster to get a grasp of examples!
Our project #STEMkey supports future #STEMteachers at Hacettepe University to develop #engineering knowledge, skills & attitudes in real-life contexts. They build their own versions of a household appliance (📷prototype 2!) in a hands-on manner and discuss transfer to teaching!
