Our year 7 and 8 nurture students took part in a wonderful Sensory Stars event this week, giving them the space to explore, create and grow. Very proud of the energy and confidence they showed.
It also aligns with a project I'm currently shaping around how intentional design, sensory experience, and aesthetic choices influence how learners feel, think, and show up. The dialogue around this theme mattered, and we need more of it.
How do you do this? Share age-appropriate, real (not exaggerated) information about the consequences of not doing the sensory activity. Do this carefully... your goal is not to terrify them. It's to help them understand why it is so important.
