The sockets are now soldered. I decided to start with the oscillator, and I made one with a 10mhz crystal and divided with 74LS74. The capacitor between inverters was 10pf so it failed, it must be 0.1uf. I'm pretty happy to have the required 5 mhz. #retro #transputer

Ok. I made a mistake. I should have put a 74LS367 instead of a 74LS368. I had to disassemble ISERVER to be sure. Notice how it extracts bit 0 and complements it. Now, the Occam compiler works. It's very hard to use! #retro #transputer

I got a pair of transputer boards in an eBay offer. The 30mhz version of the Inmos T805 is pretty rare and these boards have 2 MB of RAM. I could have done marvels with so much memory. #retro #transputer

I just have completed the port of my transputer assembler to MS-DOS, using Turbo C++ 3 (I intended to use the Mark DeSmet c88 compiler but it has too many bugs). As result the full toolchain for compiling Pascal programs for #transputer now works in DOS. github.com/nanochess/tran…

The sockets are now soldered. I decided to start with the oscillator, and I made one with a 10mhz crystal and divided with 74LS74. The capacitor between inverters was 10pf so it failed, it must be 0.1uf. I'm pretty happy to have the required 5 mhz. #retro #transputer

I got a pair of transputer boards in an eBay offer. The 30mhz version of the Inmos T805 is pretty rare and these boards have 2 MB of RAM. I could have done marvels with so much memory. #retro #transputer
