Yet another rework of the Development Tree is in progress. The testers voted that the previous one lacked structure and readability. I added the ability to zoom in/pan and this way I can fit more "Branches". For those who don't know This tree is all about regional specialization.
@balajis implements the superior “expandable tree” format in his new book. Makes it waaaaay easier to navigate and absorb the takeaways. Hopefully more authors follow his lead: thenetworkstate.com
If you want to expand on my tree tutorial from yesterday and add some detailed branches then this is a great place to start. #pixelart #art
Trees can now have branches! Doesn't look like too much of a development, but turns out it was more work than the whole rest of the system hahaha :)
I don't think I ever posted about it here, but a while ago I went back and improved the trees all over the region. They overlap and appear much thicker now!
Grass is entirely mine from scratch but trees i created with M-tree add on really felt very realistic. Way way better than sapling tree. M-tree has more variation, depth for real tree look. You can even add roots( amazing feature ).
Extended Extended Zenith Tree. A lot of you requested things so I added a bunch of unnecessary garbage and fixed some mistakes. Should I keep going? redd.it/gyd6up
